Comparison of Discrete and Continuous Model of Planned Cash-Flow in ERP Systems

Abstract


The aim of this paper is to compare continuous and discrete mathematical models for calculating of the planned cash flow, based on the planned accounting data obtained from ERP systems of business companies. By the mathematical models (defined in this way) it is possible to predict the figures of the required statements. The difference between continuous and discrete case is discussed with emphasizing their advantages and disadvantages. The paper should be considered as a contribution to the application of numerical methods in enterprise resource planning systems in a general context.
