The article deals with the specifics of implementing the KANBAN logistics technology, which is used in industrial production plants for material flow management. The findings are based on applied research, which was implemented in a production plant. This plant focuses on producing passive safety components for road vehicles. The aim of the research was to restructure material flow management processes through KANBAN logistics technology seeking to optimize the use of floor space in the production hall. Due to the planned increase in production capacities we needed to reduce space for material storage as well as finished products storage and provide optimal material input for the production lines.
