The 10th Anniversary International Conference INPROFORUM 2016: „Threatened Europe? „Socio-Economic and Environmental Changes“

The International Scientific Conference INPROFORUM is a traditional event held by the Faculty of Economics, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (USB)., It is focused on the research achievements in the fields of Innovations, Enterprises, Regions and Organizations.

The 10th Anniversary International Conference offers the opportunity to discuss relevant Topics among Academic and practising Economists. The Conference is organized under the auspices of doc. Ing. Ladislav Rolínek, Ph.D. Dean of the Faculty of Economics, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.

Aim of the conference is to respond to the Situation in Europe and instigate scholarly discourse which presents the current changes in this new context.

  • (2016-09-16) Keynote Speaker Philipp Gay explains his Plenary Session paper "European standards : a protection for all or a destruction of country's culture ?" in short abstract: The main issue is to find out if the standards of the European Union are able to offer a efficient protection to citizens (health, food, chemistry, etc ...) or if they are a brake for economic development and, as a consequence, make disappear some cultural products, especially about food (example of the cheese in France). It could be a demonstration on the fact that too many standards are killing the standards and create a kind of jail (problems of the patents in the field of research on the human genome).

Indexing in Journals / Databases

Selected extended papers might be offered (with the consent of authors) to the scientific journal of Acta Universitatis Bohemiae Meridionalis, which is published by De Gruyter publishers, covered in, amongst others, RePEc and Ulrich´s databases, and listed by the Research, Development and Innovation Council of the Czech Republic.

Other papers accepted by reviewers will be published in proceedings and will be submitted to Thomson Reuters for evaluation. The proceedings and journal issue will be sent to participants after the conference.

  • Deadline for the submitting of an abstract of the paper is October 31, 2016
  • Deadline for the submitting of a full version of the paper is November 16, 2016 (deadline extended)
  • The conference fee is due by October 31, 2016
