Status of Social Enterprise in the Czech Republic

Abstract


The aim of this paper is to present the phenomenon of social enterprise as a tool of the newly expanding innovative economic sector called social economy. Social economy sector is one of the pillars of social and economic cohesion, which is one of the objectives of economic and social policy of the European Union. The paper presents the broader concept of social enterprise, including basic assumptions and principles on which the social enterprise is based. Social entrepreneurship separates its business activities and market participation, employment issues, social cohesion and local development. At the local level promotes solidarity, social inclusion and social capital growth, with maximum respect for sustainable development. The paper contains a framework defining the infrastructure of the social economy and social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic, is stated the position of social entrepreneurship in the educational system of the Czech Republic, is specified area and the issue of financing social enterprises in the Czech Republic.
