Abstract


The contribution is focused on the role of knowledge economy in terms of regional development. It tries to test assumption about the important role of University in a frame of regional development. University could serve as a good potential for competitive advantage of region as a source of high educated people. The article is based on data set from two questionnaire survey from Spring and Summer 2011. Our analysis of questionnaire surveys has revealed some weaknesses that exist in communication between University and business sector within the South Bohemian region. We also tried to mark some way as of possible improvement of communication and better using the innovative potential of region which is based on University existence.
