Abstract
Tourism is very important socio-economic phenomenon both in terms of individual as well as society. It is a sector which is dynamically developing worldwide and its importance for national economy is still increasing. Character and a range of this sector is primary closely related to the life style and country´s wealth of travellers. Contribution reflects the substance and significance of tourism and trends in service providers in tourism, particularly it deals with the meaning of innovations in tourism as the main holders of competitive advantages.
