The Critical Path Method (CPM) and its modification PERT belong among methods used in the field of project management. Using these methods, we can find critical tasks influencing the final duration of a particular project. Another possibility is using a simulation. During the simulation, the duration of particular tasks follows the chosen probability distribution. Using this technique, we can determine the probability that the particular tasks will be critical. This method can be used for project planning, its controlling and management when we focus on activities which can be critical on the chosen significance level. Afterwards, it is suitable to process the obtained results using regression and correlation analysis methods.
