Abstract

Reverse logistics represents new phenomenon in management of supply chain. Reverse logistics is orientated on management of the renewal process and supply in opposite way like management of classical supply cycle. Reverse logistics is possible to describe according to European Working Group on RL REVLOG like "process of planning implementation and control of backward flow of raw materials, semifinished products, packaging and finished products from production point, distribution point or point of usage to point of renewal or relevant dispose of". From above definition arises possibility to use the wide variety of quantitative methods for solution of reverse logistics tasks. General inventory models, recycling – inventory models, close inventory - cost models and life cycle cost model are frequently used and linear programming or mixed integer programming methods are common used for solution of above problems.
